Hello everyone! I’m Mary Cameron, and I wanted to welcome y’all to Chic and Petite – a lifestyle blog documenting my journey through the “adult world” and the outfits along the way. On this blog, I want to share personal stories, styling tips and tricks, health and beauty secrets, and advice on nearly any topic.
After following (and religiously stalking) a gazillion bloggers on Instagram and their websites, I’ve finally started my blog and couldn’t be more excited! I’ve wanted to start this lifestyle blog for years but could never find the right time or the right way to do it. (I’m one of those people who want it to be a success once I decide to do it.) After putting the idea of starting a blog on the back burner of my life, I was reintroduced into it in my last year of college when I took a social media marketing class with a really inspiring and knowledgeable professor. She made me realize that there really isn’t a “best time” to start a blog – like Nike says, you “just do it”. Right now, I’m going through massive changes in my life like figuring out how to “adult” now that I’m a college graduate, so why not document these amazing events (and the amazing outfits) for others to enjoy and be a part of this journey with me?
Before starting this blog, I thought and thought and thought about who I wanted to reach and who I wanted to inspire, and that person is the everyday, fashionable woman trying to navigate through life just like I am. Let’s be honest we’re all trying to figure our way out of something in our life whether it’s school, a relationship, careers, etc., and my goal here at Chic & Petite is to help these women and figure it out along the way with them while inspiring them to be bold, unexpected, and feminine. I want to be a positive role model for all women who have big dreams and help them out just like I know they’ll be able to help me when I need it.
So, I know you’re probably wondering who I am. Who is this recent college graduate who wants to be an inspiring big sister or best friend? Personally, I feel like it would take forever for me to truly portray who I am to y’all in my first blog post, so let’s just start off with a photo. I am five feet tall and am a Marketing and Professional Sales graduate of Kennesaw State University in Atlanta, Georgia. GO OWLS! Like most women (and really people overall), I am constantly changing. My tastes change. My favorite things change. My style changes. All these changes and the little things that make up my life will be documented along the way.
